Visit Portland, formerly the Greater Portland Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), is a 501(c)6, not-for-profit Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) responsible for promoting the Greater Portland region since 1982.

A destination organization is a community asset responsible for programs promoting a community as an attractive travel destination and enhancing its public image as a dynamic place to live and work. Through their knowledge of the destination, brand management, promotional programs, and resulting impacts of visitation, DMOs strengthen a community’s economic position and vitality, which increases the opportunity for all the residents in the destination.

Visit Portland will work alongside the Board of Directors to manage and implement the development plan for the Portland Tourism Development District.  We are looking forward to working with the hotel community on this endeavor.
